As 2025 draws to a close, Chronicle reflects on a year marked by expansion, innovation, and growing adoption across the onchain ecosystem. From extending its presence into new blockchain networks to powering institutional-grade tokenized assets, Chronicle has made significant strides in establishing Proof of Asset as the standard for verifiable, transparent onchain finance. This advancement is catalyzing a shift in how institutions and protocols think about asset-level transparency.
This year, Chronicle achieved a series of landmark milestones: expanding its ecosystem footprint, securing partnerships with leading tokenization initiatives, introducing critical infrastructure for tokenized assets, and launching tools that bring true transparency to DeFi and tokenized asset markets. Each milestone represents a step forward in Chronicle’s mission to provide trusted, verifiable data for the next generation of onchain financial applications. Chronicle’s progress in 2025 builds on more than eight years of continuous oracle operation, originating from Sky (previously known as MakerDao).
Chronicling Chronicle, here’s a recap of what we did in 2025!
$12 Million Seed Round
The completion of a $12M seed round strengthened Chronicle’s ability to scale. The round was led by Strobe Ventures with participation from Brevan Howard Digital, Tioga Capital, 6MV, Robot Ventures, Fenbushi Capital and notable angel investors.
Securing All Three Winners of Spark’s Tokenization Grand Prix: BlackRock’s BUIDL, Superstate, Centrifuge
Chronicle announced that its Proof of Asset technology is powering asset verification for the winners of Spark’s $1 billion Tokenization Grand Prix, BlackRock's BUIDL, Superstate, and Centrifuge, bringing their tokenised assets to life.
Named Exclusive Oracle Partner to Grove
Chronicle was selected as Grove’s exclusive oracle provider, powering data integrity for one of the most significant onchain credit capital allocators. Grove, an enterprise-grade credit protocol, is deploying capital across real-world asset strategies with an initial $1 Billion investment mandate, including allocations to the Janus Henderson Anemoy AAA CLO Fund and the JTRSY Treasury Fund. Chronicle’s Proof of Asset framework ensures that credit flowing through Grove’s ecosystem is transparent and reliable, supporting new onchain investment opportunities and scalable DeFi integrations. This partnership signals Chronicle as the foundational data layer for the next generation of institutional-grade onchain credit.
Expansion Into New Ecosystems
Chronicle expanded into Unichain, Avalanche, Plasma, Linea, Plume, and Monad, extending the reach of its verifiable data feeds and engaging new developer communities. These additions strengthened the foundation for broader adoption of the Proof of Asset framework across a wider range of ecosystems.
Trusted by Leading Tokenization Protocols: Proof of Asset Adoption
Chronicle Proof of Asset extends risk management beyond traditional reserve verification. It connects directly to custodians to deliver verified, source-level data on the underlying assets and valuation of any tokenized fund. For asset managers and issuers, this enhances the utility and distribution of tokenized assets. For lending markets and capital allocators, it enables automated, data-driven risk management and yield optimization.
Proof of Asset technology saw significant adoption this year by leading protocols, including Centrifuge, Superstate, Grove, and M0. These organizations now rely on Chronicle’s infrastructure to secure tokenized assets and provide transparent onchain attestations. Institutional adoption underscores Proof of Asset’s role as a trusted foundation for scalable and secure onchain finance.
Proof of Asset Dashboard
The Proof of Asset Dashboard went live with the goal of setting a new standard for transparency and verifiability in tokenized assets. By combining financial data with cryptographic proofs, the dashboard creates a direct bridge from traditional custodianship to onchain representation. It makes offchain data points such as NAV calculations and reserves compositions verifiable onchain, enabling protocols and institutions to interact with tokenized assets with confidence.
Launch of MetaMask’s mUSD and Expansion of M0 With Proof of Asset Validation
MetaMask launched mUSD, powered by M0, issued by Bridge, and independently validated by Chronicle's Proof of Asset system. This launch showed how independent validation supports stablecoin credibility and improves confidence across retail users, DeFi participants, and institutions.
Over 2025,
M0 reached over $895M in M0-powered stablecoins, reflecting growing adoption and trust in its stablecoin infrastructure. As M0 expanded, Chronicle’s Proof of Asset system played a critical role in supporting this growth by providing verifiable onchain asset validation, ensuring transparency, and enabling institutions, developers, and users to interact with confidence.
Grew supported price feeds by 70%
Chronicle increased its number of production price feeds by 69.4%, including support for onchain tokenized equities. This expansion enables builders to use tokenized stocks as DeFi primitives across lending, synthetic assets, and indices.
Launch of the Chronicle Points Dashboard
Chronicle expanded community participation with the
launch of the Chronicle Points Dashboard, bringing a unified and transparent experience directly to Chronicle’s website. With the new dashboard, users can now supply USDS, track and manage Chronicle Points in one place through
a dedicated frontend to Sky.
This launch further strengthens Chronicle’s commitment to simplicity and user-centric design as it continues to grow its ecosystem.
Team Growth: Building an Agile Organization
In 2025, Chronicle continued to invest heavily in its most important asset: its people. The team grew to 24 contributors, bringing additional talent in areas such as TradFi, marketing, and business development. This deliberate blend of backgrounds has strengthened Chronicle’s ability to bridge institutional finance with onchain systems. Despite its growth, Chronicle has remained highly agile. A lean structure and close collaboration across functions have enabled the team to ship critical infrastructure quickly, respond to partner needs, and maintain a high bar for technical and operational excellence.
Global Community Engagement and Ecosystem Presence
Throughout 2025, Chronicle continued to meet with its partners and community in person, maintaining relationships across the global ecosystem.
The team spoke and participated at leading conferences across the globe making stops at ETHCC, Stable Summit, RWA Summit, ETH Denver and CV Summit to name a few. From South Korea, Singapore, NYC, Buenos Aires and many cities in Europe, we shared our product capabilities and roadmap through technical conversations with both the institutional and builder communities. This direct engagement fostered the opportunity to hear from developers, protocols and asset issuers building with Chronicles infrastructure and discuss what problems they are trying to solve.
Closing Thoughts
As 2025 concludes, Chronicle’s work demonstrates both the transformative power and the necessity of verifiable onchain data. By enabling transparency, trust, and real-time risk management, Proof of Asset has moved from concept to critical infrastructure, setting a new standard for the upgraded financial ecosystem being formed from DeFi.
With these foundations in place, Chronicle enters 2026 ready to accelerate, expand integrations, expand asset support, and unlock new onchain opportunities, paving the way for a more secure and composable financial future.
As we close out the year, the Chronicle team reflects on a year of hard work, relentless focus and above all, deep gratitude for the people and partners who joined us along the way. Thank you for being part of our mission.
We're ready for 2026!
